Seeds of Change Therapy: Meet Kat

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. Below you'll find some info about me and my approach.

My approach

I prioritize inclusivity and strive to create a warm, supportive space for my clients through a compassionate and collaborative approach. Grounded in evidence-based practices, I incorporate a variety of approaches (including somatic and mindfulness techniques, to name a few) while we work together.

Area of focus

Currently, I focus on supporting those navigating relationship issues, workplace difficulties, life transitions, and 2SLGBTQ+ experiences. I hold a certificate in Gaslighting and Relationship Trauma Recovery as well as a Trauma Informed Practice Level 1. My long-standing passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion reflects my commitment to supporting my clients.

My credentials

In addition to being a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, and I'm in the final stages of completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University—expected shortly. Having recently transitioned to full-time counselling, I've supported many individuals navigating experiences of marginalization throughout my 10+ year career in another field.

Beyond work

Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my dog, getting creative, listening to live music, and trying out new recipes.
